Baghdad: The General Directorate of Traffic is engaging in discussions with the Parliamentary Committee on Security and Defense regarding potential amendments to the Traffic Law.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Lieutenant General Uday Samir al-Hassani, Director of the General Traffic Directorate, hosted MPs Murtadha Fuwain al-A’ajibi and Ahmed al-Dalfi from the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee at the Directorate’s headquarters. The meeting, held on Monday, focused on proposals to amend Traffic Law No. (8) of 2019.

The Directorate’s press release indicated that the meeting aimed to review and discuss key legal articles proposed for amendment. The goal is to improve traffic management, enhance road safety, and regulate traffic flow to better meet future demands and serve citizens effectively.
