Trebil Border Crossing: 240 Seals for Human Medicines Seized at the Trebil Border Crossing

Trebil: The Trebil Border Crossing Directorate announced today the seizure of 240 seals bearing the names of various pharmaceutical companies inside a traveler's bag, in an attempt to smuggle them into the country without official approvals.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Directorate stated in a press release that its teams, in cooperation with the Customs Center and supporting departments, arrested a taxi driver who was carrying a suitcase containing 240 seals belonging to pharmaceutical companies. The seals had been sent via mail from a travel agency without obtaining the necessary approvals from the Iraqi Ministry of Health.

The statement added that a seizure report was prepared, and the driver, the vehicle, and the seized items were referred to the Trebil Customs Police Station, pending referral of the case to the investigating judge in Rutba to take the necessary legal measures.
