Riyadh: The Turkish Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the drone attacks targeting Saudi Arabia, reiterating Ankara’s support for the Kingdom’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and calling for an end to the attacks that threaten regional security and stability.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Turkish Foreign Ministry affirmed its support for Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, praising what it described as the “balanced approach” adopted by the Saudi authorities to avoid escalating tensions in the region. The Turkish Foreign Ministry welcomed the Iraqi government’s condemnation of the attacks and its launch of an immediate investigation to clarify the circumstances of the incident and identify those responsible.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry also renewed its call for an immediate halt to such attacks, stressing the need to avoid any steps that could escalate tensions and threaten security and stability in the region.

Saudi Arabia announced yesterday that injuries occurred and the East-West pipeline was shut down as a precautionary measure after it was targeted in several attacks in the Riyadh and Medina regions.

The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) quoted an official source at the Ministry of Energy as saying that the pipeline was targeted on Thursday, September 10, resulting in injuries, for which medical care was provided.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a press release that the attack was carried out using several drones and resulted in casualties and some damage, which is currently being addressed.
