Baghdad: US President Donald Trump announced the arrest of the suspect in the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. Trump stated that the suspect would face conviction and possible execution if their involvement is confirmed.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Charlie Kirk was shot in the neck while attending an event at Utah Valley University on Wednesday. He succumbed to his injuries later in the hospital.

President Trump characterized the incident as a "dark moment" in US history and committed to prosecuting all individuals involved in the act.
