Seoul: US President Donald Trump arrived in South Korea on Wednesday morning to attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit, on the sidelines of which he will meet with his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, on Thursday.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Trump is scheduled to meet with his South Korean counterpart, Lee Jae-myung, later on Wednesday. The discussions are expected to cover a range of bilateral issues, enhancing cooperation between the two nations.

Trump’s upcoming meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday is a focal point of the summit. Both sides have expressed hope for reaching a truce in the ongoing trade war, which has created significant economic tensions between the world’s two largest economies. The meeting is anticipated to be a critical step towards resolving trade disputes and fostering a more stable economic relationship.
