Baghdad: US President Donald Trump announced that he does not believe China and Russia are involved in the Iranian conflict by supplying weapons to Tehran. Trump stated that both countries have assured him they are not participating in the war on Iran by providing arms.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Trump revealed via a tweet that Chinese President Xi Jinping assured him during a meeting in Beijing that China, including its companies, will not supply or sell weapons to the Islamic Republic of Iran under any circumstances. Trump expressed his trust in Jinping's word, citing their relationship and the favors he has done for the Chinese leader.

Furthermore, Trump shared that Russian President Vladimir Putin also assured him that Russia will refrain from selling weapons to Iran. Despite the ongoing war in Ukraine and Russia's relationship with Ukrainian President Zelensky, Putin reportedly confirmed his stance to Trump. Trump highlighted that while he does not sell weapons to Ukraine, he does sell them to NATO countries who pay for them fully, though he is unaware of how these weapons are distributed.

Trump emphasized that, in his opinion, China and Russia, often mentioned in the context of Iran, are not involved in the war. He concluded his statement by asserting that any involvement from these nations would be detrimental and not in their best interest.
