Trump Asserts Continuation of Military Operations in Yemen Amid Houthi Threat


Baghdad: US President Donald Trump confirmed that military operations in Yemen will continue until the Houthi threat recedes. Trump stated during a press conference, “We are carrying out large-scale strikes in Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen. We will continue our decisive operations until the Houthi threat to US forces and freedom of navigation in the Red Sea recedes.”



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Trump detailed that the targets of the strikes in Yemen included Houthi leaders, their equipment, command and control facilities, and ammunition depots. The President emphasized the strategic importance of these operations in ensuring the security of US interests in the region.



Trump further elaborated on the reinforcements dispatched to the Middle East, highlighting the inclusion of air and missile defense capabilities for Israel and sites hosting US forces. This move is part of a broader strategy to bolster defense measures and protect regional allies amidst escalating tensions.
