Trump Discusses Gaza Situation and Possible Solutions with Egyptian President Sisi

Washington: US President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday that he had a "good" phone call with his Egyptian counterpart, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi. Trump stated in a press release that the conversation centered on the situation in Gaza and progress against the Houthis. He described the exchange as productive, noting that they covered several topics, including possible solutions and military preparations.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the discussion between the two leaders comes amid ongoing Israeli bombing of the Gaza Strip, which resumed on March 18. The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported earlier today that the number of victims of the Israeli aggression had reached 50,399 martyrs and 114,583 wounded since October 7, 2023.

The continued violence in Gaza remains a critical concern for the international community. Both leaders emphasized the need for diplomatic and strategic efforts to address the escalating crisis and potential solutions to restore peace in the region.
