Riyadh: US President Donald Trump arrived in Riyadh this morning, marking the start of a four-day Gulf tour that includes visits to Qatar and the UAE. The visit aims to secure substantial economic deals potentially worth trillions of dollars between the United States and these Gulf nations.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Trump announced that his itinerary might extend to Turkey on Thursday, where Russian President Vladimir Putin is expected to engage in direct talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. This potential visit underscores the geopolitical significance of Trump’s tour, as it coincides with heightened tensions and diplomatic efforts in the region.

Trump’s schedule includes participating in the Saudi-US Investment Forum before traveling to Qatar on Wednesday, followed by the UAE. He is accompanied by a delegation of prominent American business leaders, including Tesla CEO and advisor Elon Musk, highlighting the tour’s economic focus.

This marks Trump’s second international trip since assuming office, following his previous visit to Rome for the funeral of Pope Francis.
