Washington: US President Donald Trump announced on Wednesday that he will have a call soon with Russian President Vladimir Putin. As he left a restaurant in Washington, D.C., Trump mentioned that the call will take place this week or early next week.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, President Trump did not address reporters’ questions regarding reports of Russian drones entering Polish airspace. Poland had announced earlier on Wednesday that its warplanes had shot down “hostile objects” following repeated violations of its airspace during a Russian attack targeting western Ukraine. This marked a significant development as it was the first instance of a NATO member state engaging in such actions since the onset of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
