Washington: US President Donald Trump confirmed on Wednesday the possibility of using the Strait of Hormuz for oil tankers. In a press statement, Trump stressed the need to continue with the same approach to monitor future developments, stating, "Iran has lost its naval and air capabilities."
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Trump explained that US forces were able to eliminate all Iranian mine-laden vessels in one night, in addition to destroying Iranian naval defenses in an unprecedented manner. He emphasized that "Tehran is currently paying a heavy price, and the Strait of Hormuz is now open for oil tanker use."
