Washington: US President Donald Trump threatened on Sunday to ban importers of Russian oil from doing business in the United States if an agreement is not reached with Moscow regarding Ukraine. Trump stated in an interview with NBC that “if you buy oil from Russia, you won’t be able to do business in the United States,” indicating his intention to impose tariffs ranging from 25 percent to 50 percent on Russian oil.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Trump also mentioned his plans to have a new conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin soon. NBC quoted Trump as saying that he plans to speak again with Putin “this week.”
