Trump Threatens to Cut Off Venezuelan Oil Supply to Cuba

Havana: US President Donald Trump has issued a stern warning to Cuba, stating that the island nation will no longer receive Venezuelan oil or financial support. He declared that the United States is ready to provide military assistance to Venezuela during this period.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Trump emphasized the urgency of the situation by advising Havana to “make a deal before it’s too late.” This statement underscores the heightened tensions between the US and Cuba regarding their involvement with Venezuela.

In response, the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs has firmly rejected Trump’s statements. It asserted that Cuba does not participate in actions such as mercenary activities, extortion, or military interventions, which it attributes to the United States. The ministry further claimed that law and justice align with Havana and cautioned that Washington’s approach poses a risk to peace and security on a global scale.
