Washington: US President Donald Trump stated on Tuesday that all BRICS members will pay a 10% tariff on their exports to the United States.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Trump made this announcement during a ministerial meeting, emphasizing that the tariff is specifically due to their membership in the BRICS group. He expressed his belief that the formation of BRICS was intended to undermine the US dollar and ultimately remove it as a reserve currency.

Despite these concerns, Trump mentioned that he does not see BRICS as a significant threat to the United States.
