Washington: US President Donald Trump announced that the world is "very close to solving an old problem," in reference to ongoing efforts to halt the conflict in the Gaza Strip. Trump emphasized that the goal extends beyond simply ending the war in Gaza to achieving "eternal peace in the Middle East."

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Trump revealed that he had discussions with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about ways to end the conflict in Gaza. He indicated that he would soon unveil comprehensive principles aimed at establishing peace across the Middle East.

Trump expressed gratitude towards the leaders of Arab and Islamic countries, as well as European allies, for their positive response to the proposed US principles. He also thanked Netanyahu for his agreement to the peace plan.
