Baghdad: President Trump's meeting with Prime Minister Ali al-Zubaidi represents a turning point in US-Iraqi relations. Trump's envoy to Iraq, Tom Barrack, emphasized the significance of the meeting, highlighting its potential impact on future relations between the two nations.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Barrack conveyed that Iraq's strategic location in the Middle East positions it as a crucial connector among the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, Turkey, Syria, Jordan, Central Asia, the Balkans, and the Caucasus. He noted that new energy pipelines and avenues for progress could emerge from this enhanced integration.

Barrack further expressed that a more prosperous Iraq could lead to a more stable region, presenting exclusive opportunities for American companies. This statement underscores the economic and strategic importance the United States places on its relationship with Iraq, suggesting potential growth in bilateral cooperation and investment.
