Ankara: The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced Tuesday evening that one of its cargo planes crashed on the Georgian-Azerbaijani border while returning from Azerbaijan to Turkey.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Turkish Ministry of Defense stated in a post on its official “InSocial” account that the crashed military aircraft was a C-130 and that there were 20 people on board, including the crew.
The Turkish Ministry of Defense indicated in its statement that search and rescue operations are continuing in coordination with Georgian and Azerbaijani authorities.
