Speaking at the High-Level International Conference on a Peaceful Solution to the Palestinian Issue in New York City, Yilmaz highlighted the ongoing crisis and its implications on the global stage.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Yilmaz described the actions of Israel in the Gaza Strip as a "genocide," expressing concern about the detrimental effects on the international system if the situation persists. He called for an immediate and lasting ceasefire, asserting that it could only be achieved by applying pressure on Israel.

Yilmaz urged the international community to hold Israel accountable for the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, stressing the importance of increased diplomatic pressure. He advocated for the recognition of the State of Palestine and welcomed recent developments towards its acknowledgment.
