Ankara: Turkey and Iran held a meeting of their joint economic committee in the capital Ankara last night to discuss ways to enhance economic cooperation. The meeting was chaired by Turkey’s Trade Minister Omer Bolat and Iran’s Minister of Roads and Urban Development Farzaneh Sadiq.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, in a speech at the meeting, Bolat highlighted that the value of Turkish investors’ investments in Iran exceeds two billion dollars. He further noted that the joint committees of the two countries hold regular meetings to foster cooperation, particularly in the field of transportation.

Farzaneh Sadiq expressed her hope for developing comprehensive cooperation between the two nations, with a specific focus on transportation, within the next three months. She emphasized that by enhancing their cooperation, especially in transit corridors, they aim to contribute to the development of peace and stability in both countries and the broader region.
