Ankara: Turkish airline AJet has announced plans to commence direct flights from Ankara to Baghdad, the capital of Iraq, starting on November 3. The announcement marks an expansion of AJet’s flight operations in the Middle East, which currently includes flights from Istanbul to Baghdad.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, AJet released a statement on Saturday detailing the new route. The airline will offer three weekly flights from Ankara to Baghdad on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Return flights from Baghdad to Ankara are scheduled for Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

This new route aims to strengthen connectivity between Turkey and Iraq, providing more travel options for passengers traveling between these two key cities in the region.
