Baghdad:Turkish Ambassador to Baghdad Anil Bora Inan has conveyed Turkey’s interest in initiating a transit project that would traverse Iraq. This development was discussed during a meeting with Iraq’s Communications Minister, Mustafa Jabbar Sanad, on Monday.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the meeting was held to explore avenues for enhancing bilateral relations and strategic partnerships between Turkey and Iraq. The Turkish ambassador highlighted Ankara’s ambition for the transit project, which aims to bolster economic collaboration between the two nations.

The Communications Ministry emphasized that the proposed transit project is seen as a step towards strengthening economic ties and fostering closer cooperation between Turkey and Iraq.
