Turkish and British Foreign Ministers Discuss Gaza and Regional Conflicts

Ankara: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan discussed the situation in the Middle East, particularly in Gaza, and efforts to end conflicts in the region with his British counterpart Ed Miliband on Monday. This came during a telephone call between Fidan and Miliband.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, sources in the Turkish Foreign Ministry revealed that the discussions between the two ministers focused on the current situation in the Middle East, with a special emphasis on Gaza. They also reviewed the developments in the Russian-Ukrainian war and explored potential efforts to resolve the ongoing conflicts affecting the region.

Palestinian presidential spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh commented on the situation, stating that the agreement on implementing the second phase of the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip "remains on paper," amid continuing actions by Israel.
