Ankara: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdel Aty, discussed the latest developments in Gaza, Libya, and the region in general. The Turkish Foreign Ministry stated in a statement that Fidan and Abdel Aty exchanged views by phone today on developments in the Middle East, the course of relations between the two countries, and ways to enhance cooperation in various fields.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the ministers reviewed developments in the Middle East, most notably the situation in the Gaza Strip amid the humanitarian catastrophe and ongoing Israeli aggression. They also discussed efforts to achieve a ceasefire, the release of hostages and prisoners, and the entry of humanitarian, medical, and shelter aid into Gaza.
Additionally, the conversation touched upon developments in Libya, particularly recent events in the capital, Tripoli, and Egypt’s stance on preserving the unity and integrity of Libyan territory.
