Istanbul: The Turkish company EHSIM, which specializes in electronic warfare systems, has announced the development of an advanced system known as the "Dummy Target System." This innovative technology is designed to deceive enemy missiles and air defense systems, and preparations are underway for its integration into the Turkish Kaan fighter jet.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, EHSIM's General Manager, Fatih Say, revealed the development on the sidelines of the 17th International Defense Industries Fair (IDEF 2025). The company, with 27 years of experience in electronic warfare, has created the system to offer enhanced protection for warplanes operating in high-threat environments. The system uses "electronic deception" by capturing enemy radar signals and projecting fake targets in the air, thereby misleading tracking and monitoring systems. Say elaborated, stating, "We can make a single F-16 appear as if 20 aircraft are flying in the sky."

In addition to the Dummy Target System, EHSIM presented another innovative product at the exhibition: the "Integrated Jamming System." This system is designed to function at close range from enemy radars and is characterized by low power consumption and a stealth-enhancing structure that disrupts enemy systems.

The IDEF 2025 exhibition is taking place in Istanbul from July 22 to 27. It is organized by KFA Exhibitions and the Turkish Ministry of Defense, supported by the Presidency of Defense Industries, and supervised by the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation. The event features participation from ministers of 33 countries, over 120 ministerial undersecretaries, chiefs of staff, commanders of forces, and heads of delegations.
