Istanbul: Turkish company AirCar Teknoloji ve Havacilik AS announced details of the first fully domestically produced flying car, named AirCar, which will be among the first models ready for commercial production worldwide.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the starting price for the flying car has been set at $99,000, with deliveries to the public scheduled to begin in early 2027.
The fully electric, two-person AirCar combines road driving and airborne flight, making it a pioneering step towards the future of smart and sustainable transportation. The company explained in preliminary information about its production that the flying car has a speed of 130 km/h, a flight range of up to 80 km, a maximum flight altitude of 10,000 feet, a maximum payload of 250 kg, and a rapid charging time of no more than 15 minutes. It also includes an integrated safety system that includes an emergency parachute and a collision avoidance system, with a two-year or 500-hour flight warranty.
The company indicated that it will soon begin accepting pre-bookings for those interested, with a small deposit, through its website. The company confirmed that the AirCar project represents the future of urban transportation in Turkey, as it combines technological innovation and environmental conservation, strengthening Turkey’s position among the leading countries in the flying vehicle industry.
