Antalya: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan announced that the fourth Antalya Diplomatic Forum hosted more than 6,000 participants from 155 countries, including 21 heads of state and government and 64 ministers.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, in a press conference held today, Sunday, at the conclusion of the three-day Antalya Diplomatic Forum, hosted by the Turkish province of Antalya, Fidan said: ‘Two parliament speakers, two regional Presidents, high-level representatives from 61 international organizations, scholars, diplomats, and businessmen participated in the forum, which was held under the theme “Upholding Diplomacy in a Divided World.”

Fidan explained that the Antalya Diplomatic Forum sheds light on regional and global developments and offers solutions to existing problems. He pointed out that the forum discussed ways to adopt consensual diplomacy instead of polarization, emphasizing that diplomacy is not just a tool used in times of crisis.

The Turkish Foreign Minister stated that 50 sessions were held within the framework of the three-day forum. Regarding a possible meeting between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and US President Donald Trump, Fidan explained that preparations are ongoing for the meeting to be held either in the United States or in Turkey.

Regarding a possible visit by President Erdogan to Syria, Fidan confirmed that Turkish President Erdogan intends to visit Syria and that work is underway to create the appropriate conditions and set a date. The Turkish Foreign Minister revealed that talks are underway between his country, Israel, and the United States regarding the protection of Syrian airspace and the prevention of escalation.

Fidan explained that there is a need to establish clear rules for Syrian airspace to prevent any conflict among the parties involved, whether Israel or the United States. He said, “We share this information at the appropriate time, and our primary goal is to prevent incidents resulting from aircraft movements in the region.”
