Gabala: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stressed that achieving stability in the region is one of the fundamental pillars of his country’s foreign policy. In a press statement on the sidelines of his participation in the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Turkic Speaking States (OTC) meeting in the Azerbaijani city of Gabala last night, Fidan said, “We are leveraging Turkey’s regional power, reputation, and leadership to achieve stability in the region.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Fidan pointed out that the world is undergoing significant change, and that geopolitical shifts are affecting every region, including Turkic-speaking countries. He noted the increasing institutionalization of the OTC, which is moving more coordinated, thus enhancing their capability to confront crises.

Fidan further explained that the progress of the OTC countries in areas such as economy, infrastructure, technology, defense capabilities, and basic services strengthens each country’s power. He e
mphasized that when powerful countries unite, they form a stronger collective entity, and expressed optimism that continuing on this path would create a Turkish world more capable of facing global crises.
