Ankara: The Turkish Ministry of Defense asserts that simultaneous Israeli attacks on Lebanon, Syria, and Palestine, along with Houthi threats, are exacerbating instability in the region. The Ministry emphasized that these actions are impacting maritime security and international trade.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Turkish Defense Ministry Spokesperson Zeki Aktrk stated in a press briefing that Israel’s actions are deepening regional instability. The Ministry highlighted the need for the international community to take concrete measures against Israel’s disregard for international law, particularly its actions against camps housing displaced Palestinians in Gaza and residential areas in southern Lebanon.

The Ministry welcomed steps by 12 countries, including the United Kingdom, France, and Canada, to prohibit trade with illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank. It also condemned recent Houthi attacks, including a drone attack in Saudi Arabia, stressing the need for swift action to address these threats to regional stability.

The Ministry emphasized that the Houthi threat in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab affects international maritime trade and global stability. Saudi authorities recently intercepted a drone near Mecca, highlighting ongoing security concerns. The announcement by foreign ministers of several countries to ban trade with illegal settlements marks a significant step in addressing the situation.
