Turkish MoD Announces The Killing Of One Of Its Soldiers In Northern Iraq

Istanbul The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced the killing of one of its soldiers in the explosion of an explosive device in the area of the claw lock operations in northern Iraq.

The Turkish Defense stated in a statement today, Tuesday, that Sergeant Khalil Koc was wounded by an explosive device planted by terrorists in the area of Operation Claw Lock on August 3, and that he died after being transferred to a nearby hospital from his wounds.

It is noteworthy that the Turkish Defense had announced earlier the killing of five officers and 25 soldiers in its operations against the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) militants in northern Iraq. Thus, the Turkish Defense has officially announced the losses of the Turkish army in the operations of what it called / claw lock / the killing of five officers and 26 soldiers and the injury of 12 others since it began its operations on the eighteenth of last April.
