Ankara: Turkish Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmus has declared that Israel perceives its “end is approaching” due to the decisions made by international courts, specifically the “Justice” and “Criminal” courts. Kurtulmus made these remarks during a speech on Tuesday at an introductory event for a report by the Human Rights and Equality Foundation in Turkey, focusing on human rights violations in Palestine.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Kurtulmus emphasized that oppressive actions are often driven by fear, stating, “The oppressor is afraid… The oppressor acts with fear, and the more he fears, the more he oppresses, and the more he oppresses, the more he paves the way for his end. Today, Israel sees that its end is approaching with the decisions of two international courts.” He expressed strong disapproval of those supporting the Zionist regime who are attempting to discredit the arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and
former Defense Minister Yoav Galant.
Kurtulmus further urged countries to announce their intention to enforce the ICC’s decision, emphasizing the Turkish parliament’s anticipation of such actions. He reiterated Turkey’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, stating that Turkey will continue to support the Palestinians regardless of circumstances, even if it stands alone in this endeavor.
On November 21, the ICC issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu and Galant, accusing them of committing war crimes and crimes against humanity amid the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip. Under the court’s ruling, member states are legally obligated to arrest Netanyahu and Galant if they enter their territories and hand them over to the ICC for legal proceedings, despite the court’s lack of its own enforcement personnel.
