Baghdad: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed his country’s condemnation of any attack violating Qatar’s sovereignty.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Erdogan expressed Turkey’s condemnation of any attack violating Qatar’s sovereignty in a phone call with the Emir of the State of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

Erdogan stressed during the phone call that Turkey will always stand by its Qatari brothers. The statement indicated that President Erdogan and Emir Tamim discussed relations between Turkey and Qatar, as well as regional and international issues.

Erdogan stated that he discussed the military escalation between Iran and Israel with the leaders participating in the NATO summit, expressing his hope that both sides would adhere to the effective ceasefire and that the achieved calm would be permanent.
