Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has appealed to the international community to intensify efforts to cease Israeli actions against Palestinians, particularly in the Gaza Strip.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Erdogan emphasized the escalating humanitarian crisis in Gaza during his meeting with Australian Governor-General Sam Mostyn in Ankara. He highlighted Turkey’s ongoing commitment to delivering aid to the region swiftly and without delay.

Erdogan reiterated that a lasting peace in the region hinges on a two-state solution between Palestine and Israel. The meeting, which included Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, also covered discussions on bilateral relations and global issues.

The Turkish Presidency’s Communications Directorate revealed that Erdogan and Mostyn explored ways to enhance cooperation between Turkey and Australia. They focused on advancing ties in various sectors, particularly trade, tourism, and transportation, to reinforce the historical friendship between the two nations.
