Wasit: The Directorate of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances announced the arrest of two foreign nationals and the seizure of 6,400 narcotic pills in their possession in Wasit. According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Directorate stated in a press release that the arrests followed precise intelligence and a well-executed ambush. Detachments from the Directorate of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances in Wasit Governorate apprehended the two individuals while they were attempting to distribute narcotics within the area. The operation resulted in the seizure of 6,400 narcotic pills. The Directorate further noted that the seized items were confiscated, and the suspects have been referred to the competent judicial authorities for further investigation and legal proceedings.
