Hilla: Police in the Al-Hamza Al-Gharbi district, south of Babylon, have apprehended two individuals accused of committing ten burglaries at homes and shops over the past two months.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the arrests were made following a detailed investigation by the Al-Hamza Al-Gharbi Criminal Investigation Department. Babylon Police Media Director, Colonel Ammar Al-Shammari, explained that the security team utilized surveillance and precise intelligence to identify and track the suspects after receiving multiple reports of burglaries in the district.
An ambush was successfully set up leading to their arrest, and during the subsequent interrogation, the suspects confessed to the burglaries, which targeted residential homes in various areas of Al-Hamza Al-Gharbi at different times.
