Baghdad: Two significant fires erupted in government buildings in Kut, the capital of Wasit Governorate. A large fire broke out in the Water Resources Directorate building, while another fire affected the Real Estate Bank building.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Brigadier General Haider Shaker, the Director of Civil Defense in Wasit, confirmed that both fires were successfully brought under control and extinguished without any human casualties. He stated that an electrical short circuit is suspected to be the cause of both incidents, with investigations currently underway to determine the exact cause.
