Mosul: Two new cases of hemorrhagic fever have emerged in Nineveh, including a 19-year-old man.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Nineveh Health Directorate has confirmed two new instances of Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever within the province. A source from the directorate reported that the first case involves a 19-year-old man residing in the Qayyarah district, located south of Mosul.

The source further detailed that the second patient is a 14-year-old boy, whose infection with the disease has been verified. Both patients have been transferred to Al-Shifa Hospital, where they are receiving necessary medical care and are being closely monitored.

The laboratory tests have confirmed these cases, and health teams are actively engaged in preventative measures, including monitoring individuals who have been in contact with the infected patients. The Nineveh Health Directorate has also urged citizens to follow health guidelines and avoid actions that could lead to the transmission of Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever.
