Basra: Two suspects have been arrested by Basra police for assaulting an elderly man and filming the incident to boast about it.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Basra Governorate Police Command announced in a press release that the Republic Police Station successfully apprehended the individuals involved in the attack. The suspects had filmed the assault with the intention of boasting and sharing the footage.

The police statement detailed that the arrest was the result of a careful investigation, during which the suspects were identified. Legal procedures were promptly initiated, and the suspects were referred to the competent judicial authorities for appropriate punishment.
