Two “terrorists” arrested and seizing explosive materials in Baghdad

Baghdad The Baghdad Operations Command announced today, Friday, the arrest of two “terrorists” and the seizure of a cache of explosive materials.

The Command said in a statement, “Information was received that there was a suspect wanted in accordance with Article 4/1 of terrorism in the Husayniyat Al-Ma’amil area, east of Baghdad, interrupting the responsibility of the 42nd Brigade, the 11th Infantry Division.”

It added, “Immediately, a force from the brigade above went and was able to follow up and arrest the accused, while another force from the same brigade, in partnership with a detachment from Al-Tahdheeb Police Station, was able to arrest a wanted suspect according to Article 2/4 of terrorism in one of the sectors of Sadr City, east of Baghdad.

It pointed out, “a stack of explosive materials containing four anti-armor missiles (Maliutuka) and three mortar rounds of different sizes, and remnants of war from ISIS terrorist gangs, were seized by our security units in Brigade (22) Infantry Division in the village of Sitta in Al -Mashahdah district.
