Zurbatiyah: The Border Ports Authority has announced the arrest of two travelers, one Iraqi and one foreigner, found in possession of narcotics at the Zurbatiyah border crossing.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Authority detailed that detachments from the Zurbatiyah border crossing directorate apprehended the two individuals with narcotic substances, specifically “crystal meth and marijuana,” which they were attempting to smuggle into the country.

The Authority further explained that the operation was executed in collaboration with supporting departments and security services. The accused individuals, along with the seized narcotics, have been handed over to the competent authorities, following a formal arrest report, for necessary legal proceedings.
