Ukraine Announces Forming A New Brigade Of Marine Drones

Today, Saturday, the Ukrainian Navy announced the entry of a new brigade of marine drones as part of its military forces, while a senior official described this new force as a "unique invention."

The Ukrainian Navy said in a statement on Facebook that "Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, during the festive activities on the occasion of Ukraine's Independence Day, handed the combat banner to the 385th separate brigade of naval unmanned systems with special tasks of the Ukrainian Navy."

The Ukrainian military has not previously announced the existence of such a unit, while the head of the Ukrainian State Security Service, Vasily Malyuk, described the sea drones as a "unique invention".

Malyuk confirmed the use of these naval drones to target the Crimean Bridge, warships and a Russian oil tanker in the Black Sea.

Earlier, the Secretary of the Russian Security Council, Nikolai Patrushev, indicated that the Ukrainian special services, in coordination with Western sponsors, are carrying out many attacks with air and sea drones, "including the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge, which killed civilians.

Patrushev attributed this to the fact that "the United States and its vassals, realizing the impossibility of defeating Russia through hostilities alone, actively resorted to the use of terrorist methods."/ End
