Basra: The General Authority of Customs announced today, Monday, several activities of the Umm Qasr Central Customs Center in Basra Governorate. The Authority revealed that it had seized 23 vehicles for exceeding the legal period of their presence in the customs zone.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the center also returned three vehicles that did not meet import requirements and regulations. Additionally, 135 vehicles were allowed entry under the transshipment system destined for the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Authority confirmed that all necessary procedures were implemented against them in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. It indicated that it is continuing to enforce its customs procedures to ensure the entry of imported goods and commodities in accordance with legal frameworks and import requirements.
