UN: 875 Palestinians Killed Near Aid Sites in Gaza

Gaza: The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights reported the death of at least 875 individuals over the past six weeks at aid distribution points operated by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), which is backed by the US and Israel, as well as near convoys of other relief organizations, including the UN.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, most fatalities occurred near GHF sites, with the remaining 201 individuals killed on routes used by other aid convoys. GHF employs private US security and logistics companies for the delivery of supplies to the Gaza Strip, largely bypassing a UN-led humanitarian aid system.

The GHF initiated the distribution of food parcels in Gaza in late May following the lifting of an 11-week blockade by Israel on aid entry, aiming to address the urgent needs of the population.
