New york: Diplomats announced that the UN conference sponsored by France and Saudi Arabia to work towards a two-state solution between Israel and the Palestinians has been postponed to July 28 and 29.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Representative of the President of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly, Sharon Birch, informed RIA Novosti that the conference on settling the conflict in the Middle East and the prospects for recognizing a Palestinian state will be held in New York from July 28 to 30.

The conference was initially scheduled for June 17 to 21 in New York and was to be co-chaired by Saudi Arabia and France. However, the event was postponed due to the escalation in the region, particularly in connection with Israeli attacks on Iran.
