Baghdad The United Nations Mission in Iraq / UNAMI / confirmed: “Only accountability will stop the pattern of deadly attacks targeting civilian and political activists.”
“The perpetrators may think that they have silenced the voices … that they have just made them louder,” it said on its Facebook page.
It added, “accountability is the key to the stability of Iraq, and it is the Iraqi people’s right to know.”
