Hilla: An unidentified body was recovered from the Euphrates River in the Al-Musayyib district, north of Hilla. The river police of the Babil Police Command retrieved the body of a young man floating in the river on Friday.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Babil Police Media Director, Colonel Ammar al-Shammari, reported that the police acted after receiving a call on the 911 hotline. The call came from a person at the Hindiyah Dam, who reported seeing the body of a young man floating on the surface of the water below the al-Tufayrat Bridge at the Hindiyah Dam in the Musayyib district, north of Babil Governorate. The police subsequently recovered the body and transferred it to the forensic medicine department for further examination.
