Diwaniyah: Union leaders in Diwaniyah province have made an appeal to Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi, urging him to visit the province to address the issue of stalled projects and the deteriorating state of public services across all sectors.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the union leaders expressed their support for the Qadisiyah Court of Appeals and the Integrity Commission in their efforts to combat corruption and hold high-ranking corrupt officials accountable within the government. They emphasized the need for transparency and integrity in the fight against corruption.
Furthermore, the unions and syndicates called for an end to political quotas in all government institutions and state departments. They underscored the importance of merit-based appointments to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of government operations and services.
