United Nations Warns of Unsafe Conditions for Civilians in Gaza Amid Military Actions

United nations: The United Nations has issued a warning about the worsening humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, highlighting that the area remains perilous for civilians due to ongoing military operations and the demolition of homes by Israeli forces. The organization underscored the urgent need to protect civilians and civilian infrastructure, in line with international humanitarian law mandates.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Farhan Haq, Deputy Spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General, revealed during a daily press briefing that the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has confirmed continuous gunfire and military attacks in Gaza, even in areas where children are trying to pursue their education. Haq detailed a recent incident where a sixth-grade student in Gaza City was shot while inside a classroom organized in a tent, necessitating hospitalization.

Recent reports have also noted that on Monday, Israeli forces demolished homes in Beit Lahia, located in the northern Gaza Strip. This action included the destruction of the last remaining school within a complex that previously consisted of four educational institutions.
