Diyala: A University of Diyala instructor has achieved a significant milestone by obtaining a patent at the International Patent Conference (INVENTCOR) held in Romania. The patent recognizes the development of an innovative technology that transforms a conventional optical microscope into one capable of providing three-dimensional vision.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Ali Abdul Hussein, who serves as the Director of Media at the University of Diyala, shared that the patent was awarded to Hashim Abdul Abbas, an instructor from the College of Medicine. The new technology significantly enhances optical performance by addressing several challenges associated with traditional microscopes.

The invention offers images that accurately reflect the true shape and size of samples, thus contributing to greater accuracy in observation and analysis. This advancement is particularly beneficial for medical and laboratory applications, allowing for improved laboratory diagnosis and study of cells and microscopic organisms through three-dimensional visualization.
