Baghdad: US warplanes targeted Houthi positions in the Mukayras District of Al Bayda Governorate, Yemen, on Thursday evening.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, US aircraft bombed a Houthi military operations room in Mukayras.
The sources added that US aircraft destroyed a Houthi communications network at the top of Mount Ali in Al Bayda. Yemen witnessed an intense wave of US airstrikes targeting Houthi-controlled sites on Thursday, amid reports of at least one person being killed in the capital, Sana'a.
The strikes took place in several governorates, while the Houthi group provided few details about the targeted sites. The US military (Central Command) also did not announce specific details about the targets bombed.
The US strikes are being launched from the aircraft carriers USS Harry S. Truman in the Red Sea and USS Carl Vinson, which is currently in the Arabian Sea. The US has also deployed B-2 stealth bombers to Diego Garcia Air Base in the Indian Ocean, which are also believed to be participating in these attacks.
