Baghdad: Four US soldiers killed or missing, and another wounded in Jordan and northern Iraq. The US Central Command announced on Sunday the death or disappearance of four US soldiers and the injury of another following Iranian attacks in Jordan and northern Iraq.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Central Command stated that two US soldiers were declared dead and another went missing in Jordan on Saturday after an Iranian attack on July 17. A search operation led to the recovery of unidentified remains at the site, and efforts to identify them are ongoing.

The statement further detailed a separate incident in northern Iraq on July 18, where a US soldier lost his life while handling unexploded ordnance from a downed Iranian attack drone. Another soldier was injured and is currently receiving medical care for minor wounds sustained during the operation.

The US Central Command has decided to withhold further information, including the identities of the affected service members, to respect the privacy of their families during the notification process.
